Job Role: Homelessness Officer

Salary: £25 per hour
Working Period: Monday – Friday
Working Hours: 36 hours per week
Assignment Period: 6+ months (temporary contract)
As a preferred supplier to many local and national groups, Fox Morris Group is excited to offer a Homelessness Officer position at Westminster Council.
Our Homelessness Officers work within the local government sector, supporting individuals and families at risk of homelessness. You will be part of a dynamic team addressing housing needs, assessing cases, and ensuring legal compliance in accordance with the Homelessness Reduction Act.
Role Responsibilities:
Conducting assessments of homeless applications
Providing advice and assistance to individuals facing housing challenges
Developing personal housing plans and securing temporary accommodation
Collaborating with housing associations, landlords, and local authorities to prevent homelessness
Managing casework and ensuring that all records are accurate and up to date
Your role may also include working with:
Local government departments
Housing associations
Support services for vulnerable individuals
Social workers and legal teams

Minimum Requirements for the Role:
Experience working in housing or homelessness prevention
Knowledge of the Homelessness Reduction Act
Excellent communication and case management skills
Strong problem-solving abilities
