About the Role
As a Disrepair Officer, you will:
Investigate and resolve statutory disrepair cases, working closely with tenants, legal representatives, and contractors.
Conduct detailed property inspections, produce expert reports, and provide evidence in court when necessary.
Develop comprehensive specifications of work, risk assessments, and cost-effective repair plans.
Supervise contractors and oversee the quality and safety of repair works to ensure value for money.
Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver high standards of service.
Monitor performance, analyse key performance indicators (KPIs), and drive continuous improvement.

About You
We are looking for a professional with:
Proven experience in managing disrepair cases, structural repairs, and insurance claims.
Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Housing Disrepair Protocol and health and safety regulations.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to produce expert reports, specifications, and feasibility studies.
Proficiency in diagnosing building defects and specifying appropriate remedial works.
Effective communication and negotiation skills, particularly when dealing with legal and technical matters.
A commitment to delivering excellent customer service and driving service improvements.
You should be confident working independently, managing a diverse caseload, and liaising with various stakeholders to ensure housing standards are met.
